A Short Circuit Thank You & Mute At Independent Label Market

First we’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came to Short Circuit Presents Mute. We hope you enjoyed the momentous occasion as much as we did! There’s some fantastic photos and videos already up on YouTube. We’re hoping to make some official photos and clips available very soon, so keep checking the Short Circuit blog or Facebook page.

Now that we have all just got over Short Circuit, it’s time for the next Mute event! We thought you might be interested in knowing that Mute will be taking part in the Independent Label Market in London tomorrow (Saturday 21 May)

Mute at Independent Label Market, London

On Saturday 21 May Mute join a selection of Europe’s leading independent labels for a unique event in the heart of London’s Soho.

The event will take place on Berwick Street, where the heads of these labels will sell their wares directly to the customers, at that traditional goods exchange – a market stall.

We will be selling a unique and special selection of wares, including ‘QRcakes’ – Mute cupcakes complete with QR code to access music from across the roster, including brand new signings Big Deal, S.C.U.M, Josh T. Pearson, Apparat and Beth Jeans Houghton – plus Mute t-shirts, tote bags, badges, limited edition releases and the specially created Mute synth which debuted at Short Circuit presents Mute incident last weekend

Come down early for the tombola and your chance to win rare vinyl!

Short Circuit Electronic Music Festival returns with two days hosted by the influential label Mute. In a celebration of Mute’s unique culture this event will include performances from artists past, present and future plus installations, films, talks and more. The festival begins with an evening hosted by German label Raster-Noton, featuring the world premiere of a new collaborative piece by Alva Noto and Ryuichi Sakamoto.

Linking the event is the Raster-Noton / Mute Sound Halo which consist of sound loops created by artists from both labels and will play overnight from 12 May to link the two events and will play in The HUB on Saturday from 12:00 until 13:45
